Current access during construction

The Hainer Weg access is closed to visitors until early 2027. Use the western main entrance on Darmstädter Landstraße, the additional western pedestrian entrance, or the southern entrance on Sachsenhäuser Landwehrweg.

Public transport

For the western entrance, the city lists the Südfriedhof West stop with routes 30, 36, 653 and OF-50. Südfriedhof Ost is on Hainer Weg, but does not lead to a usable cemetery entrance during the closure. Check current departures in the RMV timetable.

Parking and accessibility

A public car park lies west of the cemetery; observe charging periods, maximum stay and local signs. The western main entrance and southern entrance are wheelchair accessible. An accessible toilet is located in the north-west.
